I am Here!

I made it to Honduras and this is the first time I have been able to write. We arrived after a long day with no sleep, and stayed in a very nice Hotel in San Pedro Sula. We had TGI Fridays for supper. I always seem to eat at an American Restaurant for the first meal in Honduras, lol! That night, with a group that way leaving the nect day, we bagged up beans and rice that we had bought earlier in the market that day. In the morning we went to a marketplace to buy souveniers. All of the local artisans had their wares. I bought a few things so I wouldnt have to worry about them later. We then went to the airport and dropped off one crew and picked up another. My second meal in Honduras...Wendys. Once we had the new crew we went to a village, one of the poorest in Honduras, to hand out the beans, rice, and some Christmas boxes. I got some good video footage and I cant wait to share it with you! There was one woman named Ada Marina who really touched my heart. She invited a few of us to her house where she fed us the best tomales I have ever had. They tasted like cornbread meets grits, neither of which I like, but this was amazing. I wish I could let you taste it! From the village we went to Siguatepeque, and Joanna and I got off at her Honduram sisters house in Las Lajas, where we spent the night. Now I am at the market with Linda and her daughter Sheily, and will be doing homework for the rest of the day. I probably wont be able to write but every other day, but I will try to keep updated as best as I can! I dont know what tomorrow holds. Keep praying for us! I am loving it here!
